Frequently Asked Questions

Does Overgrad only track 4-year college? What about students going into trades, military, or apprenticeships?

No. Overgrad covers two-year colleges, trade schools, certificate programs, apprenticeships, the military, and direct-to-work, alongside four-year colleges. Students plan for any of these paths, and Overgrad tracks the outcome for each one.

Can we track work-based learning hours for CTE compliance?

Yes. Overgrad tracks placements, hour logs, and employer evaluations for internships, externships, and apprenticeships, and exports the reports your state requires.

Can we see employment outcomes, not just college enrollment?

Yes. College enrollment and persistence come from the National Student Clearinghouse. For work outcomes, Overgrad records where alumni are employed and can add wage data from employment data providers, so you can see where graduates work and what they earn.

Can we connect Overgrad to our existing SIS, LMS, or other systems?

Yes. Overgrad runs scheduled syncs with PowerSchool, Infinite Campus, Skyward, and Synergy, supports Google sign-on, and offers an API for custom integrations. Systems without a sync can use the bulk uploader. Common App, the National Student Clearinghouse, and texting connect natively.

What security and compliance features does Overgrad include?

Overgrad includes FERPA agreement workflows, two-factor authentication for administrators, role-based permissions, single sign-on, audit trails, and encryption in transit and at rest. Districts, organizations, and networks each configure their own settings.

Does student data train an AI model?

No. Student data never trains an outside AI model. Overgrad's AI features run on a closed system inside AWS, and your district decides whether they are turned on.
